Recorded audio from the Peer Incite:
As organizations exploit the cloud for business enablement, new thinking is required in the way that information and supporting infrastructure are managed. Specifically, the concept of metadata must be expanded to create new value streams and at the same time manage information risks, including personal and corporate privacy concerns. On this call we’ll be joined by two industry experts:
- Dr. Tom Coughlin, President of Coughlin Associates
- Mike Alvarado a 25-year veteran of the information storage industry.
Key issues we’ll address on the call include:
- As more valuable personal and commercial content is stored in public and private clouds, how do we find and connect with information that is of value?
- How do we protect privacy and mitigate information risk?
- How do we protect valuable information assets?
- Where does data classification fit?
- How should users be thinking about metadata management?
- What are some practical examples?
Here’s a short video clip explaining the premise of the call.
