Description of service

Wikibon hosts Wikibon.org a community of business technology professionals. Wikibon currently provides free wiki hosting and other services for online communities that are allowed to edit Wikibon.org. Wikibon's content and services are made freely accessible for informational purposes to anyone with a connection to the World Wide Web. Designated Wikibon members attempt to review all content posted on the site but there is no guarantee that contributions will be vetted.

Wikibon open content policy

Wikibon is a hosting provider, and takes no responsibility for the content uploaded by third parties onto Wikibon.org. However Wikibon members will make commercially reasonable efforts to edit all content posted on the site. Wikibon’s designated agent will act to remove offensive content or copyright violations in a timely manner following the receipt of a copyright infringement request which can be done by listing the request here or by e-mailing our designated agent here.

Wikibon.org is provided "as is." Wikibon has no responsibility for lack of any particular content. You should be aware that Wikibon.org is editable by the public, and, as such, may contain inappropriate content at any time. Wikibon may make content un-editable in certain cases when the community sees fit to do so.

Unless otherwise specified, all content hosted by Wikibon, on Wikibon.org, is licensed by Wikibon under the GNU Free Documentation License. Under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Wikibon and only Wikibon is the "Licensor" of this content. Any use you make of content hosted by Wikibon must be in line with the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License.

Any content you upload or post to any Wikibon must be compatible with the Creative Commons License, not violate another person's intellectual property or infringe on any copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights. No content shall be added which violates any applicable law, including local, state, national, and international laws.

No content shall be added to Wikibon.org. that is tortious, threatening, harmful, hateful, unlawful, libelous, defamatory, harassing, abusive, fraudulent, vulgar, obscene, contains viruses, or is otherwise objectionable or potentially damaging, as reasonably determined by Wikibon.org and its administrators.

All content on any page is the responsibility of the person who uploaded it or added it to that page. Wikibon does not control the content, and does not approve the content before it is published. Although they are not obliged to do so, Wikibon, or its designees, have the right to remove any content for any reason, including violation of these terms of use.

Page histories and mailing list archives are archives as defined under the US Copyright Act.

Use of Wikibon

Use of Wikibon.org is at your own risk.

Users of this service shall not act in a way on Wikibon.org which would be harmful to minors. Users of this service shall not impersonate any other person or entity.

Users shall not harass other users or collect or publish personal information about them.

Wikibon may terminate your use of the site, and administrators may terminate your ability to edit the site.

Commercial activities which have not been authorized by Wikibon are not permitted on the site. You may not sell or otherwise commercially exploit the use of this service, or access to the service.

Access to Wikibon

Wikibon reserves the right to refuse access to its site, or to refuse the creation of a page or edit on Wikibon, to any user, for any reason.

Wikibon.org, may be discontinued at any time and without any liability to any user.

Wikibon.org may be closed, either to editing or viewing at any time and without notice.

Collection of personal information

User information is stored on servers in the United States. The only information that you need give is a username and password. The username does not need to be your real name. Therefore, any personal information you choose to give is not compulsory. No personal information should be given on the wiki by persons aged less than 18 years.

If you choose to enter a real name in your profile, this will be publicly available unless you choose to use an alias. You may also use the privacy settings in your profile to control who sees your informatino. There is no requirement for any user to give a real name. Users under 18 should not give their real name.

Information from our server logs may be stored and used to gather aggregate data about users, and used to determine whether the identity of one or more users is the same in cases of abuse. This data includes your IP address, and details about your browser.

Your browser must permit cookies to be set (by *.Wikibon.org) in order for you to log in to Wikibon.

In order to make edits on Wikibon users must be logged in. Be aware that your edits may also show in places on the site other than the article you edit, including watchlists and recent changes, and in any internal or external feeds made of such pages.

Notifications

Wikibon may notify you by emails of research meetings and other community activity including but not limited to surveys and other site announcements. By registering for Wikibon you are opting in to these notifications and you may opt out at any time by following the instructions on the email.

Changes to Wikibon

Wikibon reserves the right to close, move, merge, or rename, Wikibon.org for any reason. Wikibon shall not be held liable for any modification, suspension or discontinuance of Wikibon.org or of the service as a whole.

Unless otherwise specified, content on the site is available under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License

Legal action

You agree to indemnify Wikibon, its owners, employees, and users from any liability relating to your use of this site, or its content.

All legal action will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Massachusetts, U.S.

Except in those jurisdictions which do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, Wikibon expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind and shall not be liable for any damages or losses whether directly or indirectly related to your use of this site or its content. Severability

If any term, condition or clause of these terms of use is found to be invalid then the remaining terms, conditions and clauses, shall remain valid.
