I'm working on a number of projects at the moment and would welcome feedback:
My annual storage book is titled "Storage Panorama" and is available on the Wikibon home page at th elower right hand corner tab. The book is a compilation of many of the key storage trends, critical issues, new technologies and highlights a number of topics that are key to long range storage planning activities.
- Upcoming keynote speaking engagements: I am doing a series of storage seminars across the US this fall including stops in Seattle, Charlotte, Dallas, Chicago, Washington DC, and Boston.
- Papers in progress: I have just published the article "Mainframe Storage Virtualization Extends Its Reach" as the cover article for the July 2009 z/Journal and an article on storage optimization for Prism International. I have also been working with the Midrange Performance Group doing performance analysis on flash HDDs with soem interesting discoveries.
- Finally, I have finished climbing all fifty-four of the 14,000' peaks in Colorado with Wilson Peak 14,017'near Telluride and am considering climbing North America's third highest peak, Pico de Orizaba 18,470 feet, a volcano in Mexico in the not too distant future.
