Copies the latest volume of my annual book Storage Spectrum are available from David Butler at Wikibon. I am close to having a sponsor for the new book and expect to have it out by year-end 2008. I plan to work with the Wikibon team to evolve the Storage Wikibon offerings to the next level. These options may include a Wiki speakers Bureau for executive briefings, a customer summit, industry events, storage & strategy consulting, and vendor conferences. Wiki experts are also providing whitepapers, research notes, and articles capturing the latest storage information and thinking.
Upcoming keynote speaking engagements: I gave the keynote at the annual SNIA symposium in San Jose Jan. 28. I gave the keynote at LTUG (Large Tape User's Group) in Broomfield, CO. and the Imation EUC (End User Council) in Bonita Springs, Florida in April and will deliver a keynote at the SpectraLogic annual conference in Boulder in July, among several other custom consulting events in North America.
I have just published a new article and whitepaper titled "Energy and Storage - The Heat is On" as the cover article for the z/Journal. I have completed a new whitepaper on High Performance Storage also available with several other articles at www.horison.com. I am also planning a report on "The Storage Economics - A Paradox ". I have recently worked with a differentiated Flash Memory storage company.
Finally, I am planning to finish climbing all the fifty-four of the 14,000' peaks in Colorado with one final summit (Wilson Peak) remaining for 2008.
