Data center networking environments are typically full of lots of moves, adds and changes. Lack of documentation or processes can be the bane of an IT staff trying to keep up with growth and changing requirements. Virtualization has accelerated the rate of growth and mobility of the network, compounding the challenges faced by administrators. IT organizations look to a variety of tools to help install and manage its growing network infrastructure. While a single-pane-of-glass for managing the breadth and depth of an environment has been elusive, users should be looking for software that allows for flexibility and simplified management.
