We're embarking upon an assessment of converged infrastructure solutions; however, I'm getting stuck when I ask our operations teams the question: what problem(s) are we trying to solve? I understand the intrinsic value of converged solutions but need to be able to make a meaningful business case for it so gain funding support. If others have evidence / advice for where I should be looking and what going converged has done for them I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks much!

Thanks for the note Jeff - I've put a link on your note to our research and some videos. We've spoken with hundreds of practitioners on converged infrastructure and here are a few findings:
1. Greatly reduces the time to production, which allows new projects to be rolled out faster - speed and agility.
2. Simplification of operations - there can be organizational challenges over who owns what, but the goal is to have a solution that covers compute, storage, networking and management. The best solutions become "invisible", we've talked to practitioners that say that most of the staff doesn't know where the boxes live.
3. Transformation from components to a platform that allows IT to create internal ITaaS.
