For organizations struggling with data protection and cumbersome tape-based processes, cloud backup has the potential to lower operational risk, free up IT staff time and lower costs.
On Tuesday June 15th, the Wikibon community will welcome two practitioners from the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. We'll be joined by Susan Adams - Assistant Director of Development at the Museum and Sharon Kasper who manages IT for the organization. These professionals implemented cloud backup in late 2007 and will share their perspectives on the following issues:
- What was the driver to move to cloud backup?
- What were the key organizational hurdles they had to overcome to convince management to put data in the cloud?
- What steps did the organization take to exploit cloud backup
- How has backing up to the cloud changed the museum's cost structure and risk profile
