A few interesting facts about PC usage worldwide:

The number of PCs in use around the world just hit the 1 billion mark; 2 billion are expected to be in use by 2014.

180 million PCs (approximately 16% of the worldwide installed base) will be replaced this year.

Mature markets, such as the United States, Western Europe and Japan, account for 58% of the world’s installed PCs, but only represent 15% of the population.
