WikiBon began as an idea to make available an open, wiki-based source of peer-reviewed information on best practices in business systems and IT. The first portal being developed is the information technology portal and Storage best practices is the first category being populated in IT. This is the WikiBon prototype. Community behavior should be guided by a few simple principles.
WikiBon Content is Instructive
WikiBon is a resource for transferring knowledge from people with solutions to people with problems. A solution in this context isn't necessarily a product or a service, but rather a coherent combination of actions and things that can be consistently applied by an individual or group to reliably improve a given situation at work, at home, or in a community. Ultimately, WikiBon entries should provide insight into how to get something done, not just facts about what something is.
