NetApp spent the last 3+ years villifying Data Domain, denying that dedupe was a legitimate offering and pushed VTL. Their reps pushed inferior products on the market and they haven't really shown us anything new since they made a dent in ISCSI NAS market. The dislike (formerly) between NetApp and Data Domain is legendary. Don't forget how hard NetApp bashed Data Domain when they released their ASIS dedupe.
