I was very pleased to see virtualization featured...I was however disappointed to see the comment that there does not exist heterogeneous support from any given vendor. Acopia recently announced this capability (http://www.acopia.com/17cf7639-24d4-4572-bbcc-dd94e1915a0b/news-events-press-release-details.htm).

Will storage virtualization become one of the Research Domains (I hope so)? Will you be breaking it up into file vs. block? Under file storage virtualization, had you considered sub-categories of data migration, storage tiering, load balancing, and data replication?

Thanks for the heads up on Acopia. I think this capability has still not been adopted in the mainstream but I would love to learn more. The link talks about 'Lab Tests.' Let's get this capability out of the lab and into users' hands! dvellante
