Planning

Regulatory requirements dictate organizations learn how to adequately validate that regulatory imperatives are being met. This page was created to provide guidance to developing a sound and defensible compliance and validation strategy, including practical examples.

This page addresses:

  1. What is compliance in a storage context?
  2. What defines compliance and non-compliance?
  3. What is the impact of implementing compliance?
  4. How can compliance best be accomplished?

Management

Once a compliance plan is developed the implementation and ongoing management of the system is critical to extract business value and receive a payback for the investment required to create the plan and acquire and manage requisite tools and maintain conformance. Automation, training, communication of results and taking neccessary action are all components to realize value. This page has been created to assist in the development of best practices in implementing an ongoing storage regulatory compliance capability.
