• An author writes a passage that reflects some idea, fact, or opinion and an editor amends the spelling, word choice, grammatical tense, etc., of the passage without transforming the seminal thought the author originally intended.
• Sometimes, interpretation is required, but generally great editors try not to alter meaning.

After completing a project, editors should re-categorize the project or work order from:

to
        [[Category:Editorial projects complete]].
